Indexing and retrieval run on Workers AI inside your own account. Features that use another model provider, such as naming knowledge topics, use a key you add, or stay off.

What governance teams get
Self-hosted is built so a security review can verify the claims, not just read them. Everything runs in your account. Here is what leaves it, who can sign in, what gets recorded, and how the deployment is operated.

Sign-in and access
People sign in the way Pathrule Cloud offers: e-mail codes, passkeys, and GitHub or Google if you enable them, with a fresh sign-in for sensitive actions. Single sign-on through your own identity provider is arranged under the Enterprise agreement.
Roles and audit
Access is role-based across owner, admin, editor, and viewer, with private workspaces on top so a workspace can be restricted to specific people. Administrative surfaces are limited to owners and admins. Content mutations are recorded as a change history you can review: who changed what, and when. Read-level auditing is not enabled by default, because recording every read multiplies writes; talk to us if your compliance regime requires it.
Software you can review
A self-hosted deployment runs the same Pathrule Cloud code as our own service, deployed with Cloudflare's tooling into your account. No Pathrule secrets ship with it: your deployment's sign-in, encryption and provider keys are generated for it and kept in your account.
Operated and supported for the long term
Releases are deployed to your account when you choose, with database migrations applied in order, and D1 Time Travel lets you restore the database to an earlier point. Logs and metrics stay in your Cloudflare account. We support the latest and previous major versions.
